Solana meme coin scam / rug-pull checklist

These are the exact filters used by the safety screen in our paper-trading experiment (strategy F). Passing them does not make a token safe; failing any one is a strong warning sign.

  1. Liquidity ≥ $500,000 across all DEX pairs (DexScreener). Thin liquidity = large slippage and easy price manipulation.
  2. 24h volume ≥ $250,000. Very low volume means you may not be able to sell.
  3. Token age ≥ 30 days (oldest pair). Most rug-pulls happen in the first hours or days.
  4. Mint authority revoked (null). If it exists, the creator can print unlimited new tokens.
  5. Freeze authority revoked (null). If it exists, your tokens can be frozen so you cannot sell.
  6. RugCheck normalised risk score ≤ 30 (0 = best, 100 = worst), and not flagged “rugged”.
  7. Largest non-LP holder ≤ 20%, top-10 non-LP holders ≤ 50%. Concentrated supply = one wallet can dump on everyone.
  8. Get the mint address from a trusted source (e.g. CoinGecko). Scammers copy names and tickers.
